My clients often come from a Christian background but don’t necessarily want “Christian counseling”.
I am a sought-after expert on faith deconstruction, purity culture/sexual shame, and religious trauma. I welcome clients who are going through a faith transition or those who want a therapist who understands their background. I help you figure out your beliefs and how to move forward.
I use EMDR, an evidenced-based treatment for trauma, childhood memories, and negative beliefs, to help you get unstuck from thoughts and experiences that are holding you back.
I specialize in dialectical behavior therapy, which teaches mindfulness meditation and emotion regulation skills to help you get your mind, emotions, and body on the same page. Using these skills, you can improve your mood, get along better with others, and feel more peace and acceptance. My clients say I empower and encourage them to find their voice.
Taking the first step can be daunting, but I encourage you to reach out for help and support. Better relationships and a more stable mood are possible. You don’t have to be stuck, questioning if things can ever get better or how to change. Together we will work toward wholeness and restoration.
Life is all about relationships.
You might be dealing with problems in your relationships with your partner, your family, or your friends. Maybe you feel like you’re stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns. You struggle with boundaries and taking care of yourself. Or perhaps you’re walking through a big life transition and you have difficulty figuring out your new identity. These relationship issues are starting to affect your mood, making you feel stressed, anxious, and depressed.
I am here to walk through these challenges with you. Together, we can work on having a happier marriage, healthier boundaries, and a better mom life.

I might be the right therapist for you if…
You are ready to commit to therapy (at least 3-6 months) to explore your relationship problems and your emotions
You want a therapist who can validate, challenge, and empower you
You are motivated, open to insight, and ready to learn and try new skills
You want a therapist who understands your faith background, helps you explore your beliefs, and make choices aligned with your values
We are not the right fit if…
You want short-term, basic help for symptoms of depression and anxiety, or “come as you need” therapy
You want a therapist who will just listen to you vent and tell you what you want to hear
You don’t want to change yourself; you think only other people or your situation need to change
You want a “Christian counselor” who will pray with you and tell you what to believe and what to do OR a therapist who is anti-religious
